Mrs. Iola F. McBride, 85, of 218 Linden Creek Road, died Saturday. Sept. 21, 1968, in the North Shore Hospital, Miami Shore, Fla., following a lingering illness.
She was born June 6, 1883, in Armstrong County, a daughter of the late Christopher and Margaret Mateer Foster.
Mrs. McBride was a member of the First U. P. Church in Houston, a life member of Chartiers No. 97, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Order of Amaranth, Washington.
Her husband, Wilbur A. McBride, died in 1956.
Surviving are two sons, Harry G., Canonsburg, and Robert C, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; five daughters, Ruth, wife of J. Bradford Westwater, Houston; Helen, wife of Donald M. Day, and Jean, wife of Francis P. Comer, both of Canonsburg; Mrs. Hazel Stranahan, Upper St. Clair, and Grace, wife of Robert Latta, New Hartford, N. Y.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
