Barbara (Boss Lady as she was known) was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 14, 1935 to Oscar Anderson and Willie Bell Jackson.She was educated in the Atlanta Public School System and grew up in 5th Ward. She was the second oldest of 13 children. Harold, Barbara, Evelyn, Kate Frances, Mary, Cleveland, Johnny, Lillie Bell,Lula Bell, Cosby, Shirley, Joyce and Marzetta. Margret and Brenda was her adopted sisters. She joined Woodward Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. K Bland. She sung with several gospel groups. Samuel Lockett Gospel Singers and the Gospel Traveletts. She met and married Nelson Knox , January 28,1983. She was the mother of seven children: Andrea Donaldson, Eric Von Jackson, Claudette Jackson, Aleshea Johnson, Roderick Jackson (Pam), Victor Jackson and Nelson Jackson and raised her sister two children, Bradford and Cynthia Jones. She was precede in death by her husband, Nelson Knox, parents, four brothers and four sisters. She leads to cherish her memories her seven children, six sisters, eighteen grandchildren, four Godsons,one Goddaughter and a host of other Family Friends. RIP Big sis, we love but God love you best
