Kimberly A. (Boyd) Hopper of Raymond passed away on November 11, 2019. Kimberly was born the daughter of Gregory Carl and Mary “Betty” Elizabeth Mills Boyd, in Sullivan, IN on August 31, 1975.

She married Aaron W. Hopper on June 8, 1996 in Westfield, IL.

She attended Eastern Illinois University where she received her Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in English and teacher’s certification. Being a Mom/educator/wife was her joy; she had also worked as an English and Psychology Teacher and Librarian at South Central School.

Kim was more than a member, she served not only her church, but also the whole community; she took on the role of teacher and filled leadership roles at Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Raymond. She also took on the position of VBS Director and the Youth Director at Church Camp; She was the Lifeguard at the Salvation Army Youth Camp. She also was the Director for the Panhandle PTO Scholastic Book Fair; she willingly helped with youth sporting events throughout the year. Kim served on the Doyle Public Library board as secretary for 6 years.

Besides her husband, Kimberly is also survived by her three children; Emily Grace, Evan Wesley and Eden Faith of Raymond, her mother Betty (Richard) Hippler of Casey, IL, her siblings; Cindy (Jay) Lewis of Farmersville, IL, Amy Mullen of Casey, IL, Sarah (Jeremy) Tomes of Clay City, IL, Robert (Jenni) Boyd of Tuscola, IL, John (Amanda) Boyd of Tuscola, IL, Brian (Missie) Duvall of Clay City, IL. Also surviving are her Father and Mother In Law, Jim and Marie Hopper of Farina, IL Brother in Law Jeremy (Jane) Hopper of Taylorville, IL, Sister in Law, Rebekah (Sean) Lybarger of Alma, IL, Grandmother in Law, Fairy Alice Mills of St. Elmo and 15 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Greg and her grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Monday, November 18th at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, located at 19433 W Frontage Rd, Raymond, Illinois 62560. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, November 19th at 10am also held at the Church with, burial taking place at 3pm at Post Oak Cemetery in St. Elmo.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hopper Children’s Fund set up by the community or to #kimkind Fund, a fund that will be used further God’s work and to spread kindness in Kim’s name.
