A former well-known and highly esteemed Ingersoll resident, Clement Willis Bowman, passed away at his late residence in Toronto, early Monday morning, July 21st, following a long period of ill health. Deceased who was in h is 72nd year was a son of the late William Bowman and Sarah Willis. He was born in England and came with his parents to Ingersoll at the age of 4. He entered the employee of the former Ingersoll Packing Co. as a stenographer and when he left Ingersoll some 38 years ago he was superintendent of the company. In Montreal, he was manager of the Montreal Packing C., until ill health forced him to relinquish that position. He then went to Florida to make his home and lived there until 12 years ago when he came to Toronto, where he has since resided. Left to mourn the passing is his widow, 3 sons, Edward Bowman, in Florida; Sergt. W. S. Bowman, with RCAF at Trenton; Clement Bowman, Toronto; 4 daughters, Mrs. James Gut and Mrs. H. Borch in Florida, and Misses Joyce and Betty Bowman at home; also 4 sisters, Mrs. W. H. Moulton, Mrs. D. B. Owen, Mrs. Robert Elliott and Miss Annie Bowman, Ingersoll. The funeral was held on wend afternoon from the Wardell Funeral Home, Younge St. Toronto, where service was conducted at 2:30 o'clock.
