PAMPA - Joy Evelyn Hayes, 74, died Saturday, July 14, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Carl Novian, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hayes was born July 18, 1932, in Wellington. She married Johnny R. Hayes on May 29, 1959 in Clovis, N.M.

Suvivors include a son, James Hayes of Pampa; a daughter, Kathy Hayes of Dallas; a brother, Art Vaughn of Amarillo; a sister, Betty Casey of Houston; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter Suite 404, Amarillo, TX 79106.
