Patrick Taylor of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on November 15, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 46 years.

Patrick Taylor was born on September 14, 1973, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Jerry and Linda Taylor. Patrick had one brother, Dempsey Taylor and two sisters Julie Taylor and Kris Thomason. He went to grade school in several different towns but would graduate from Chandler High School. Patrick was married to Danielle (Harvey) Taylor for twenty-three years and had three sons, Lane Harvey, Joshua Taylor and Jeremiah Taylor. Patrick has one grandson, Kenneth Simon. Patrick worked as a dispatcher for many years before serving 3 ½ years in the Army National Guard. He would go on to work as a police officer for Davenport, Oklahoma, where he became the assistant Police Chief and City Council member. Patrick also worked as a police officer for Stroud Police Department and Sac and Fox Tribal Police department, finally becoming a Deputy for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. At the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Patrick worked as a Deputy and then as an investigator before being promoted to Captain and Jail Administrator. He worked tirelessly, through extreme illness even, making sure that he gave his very best to the county. He was passionate about his work and the people he encountered along the way. In addition to his love for Law Enforcement, he was highly skilled with computers and technology in general.

Patrick had few hobbies that weren’t related to Law Enforcement or computers and spare time was few and far between. Even from his sickbed or the hospital, Patrick worked remotely on day to day matters for the jail. It was his job but it was also his hobby and it made him happy. He wasn’t satisfied to leave it be while he was ill. He wasn’t content unless he was giving absolutely everything he had. He was driven in this way but he also loved the people involved in his Law Enforcement life style and he left an impression on everyone he came in contact with. Patrick was kind, compassionate and reliable, making him a wonderful friend and husband.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Danielle Taylor of Chandler; two sons, Lane Harvey and Joshua Taylor both of Chandler; one grandson Kenneth Simon of Chandler; his father, Jerry Taylor of Chandler; one brother Dempsey Taylor and his wife Crystal Taylor of Shawnee; two sisters Kris Thomason of Powder, Texas, and Julie Taylor of Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Hope Taylor; and one son Jeremiah Scott Taylor.

Funeral services were November 19, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating.
