Turin – Timothy James Dunn, 72, husband of Theresa, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse.

Timothy was born in Rome on February 20, 1947, a son of Thomas J. and Carol V. Dye Dunn. He grew up in West Leyden and Alder Creek, graduating from Boonville Central School, with the Class of 1965. On September 14, 1965 he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served aboard the U.S.S. Fulton, based out of New London, CT, until his honorable discharged on September 15, 1969. He then returned to Turin, NY and was employed with Davey Tree Service. For 33 years Timothy was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Turin Highway Dept.

On September 30, 1972, Timothy was united in marriage with Theresa A. Rimiller at St. Mary’s Church, Constableville. Following their marriage the couple settled on St. Rt. 26 in the Village of Turin where they raised their family and had since lived.

After losing a family member to leukemia, Timothy registered with the bone marrow bank of the American Red Cross, and was found to be a matching donor for someone in need. He was extremely proud and honored of his opportunity to have been able help them.

Timothy was a longtime member of the Boonville Elks Lodge, a fan of NY Yankee baseball and NY Giant football, enjoyed hunting, and was an avid reader of westerns and history. Timothy’s family was of the utmost importance to him, and he cherished the time spent with all of them. His witty sense of humor and talent at giving everyone nicknames will not be forgotten.

Besides his wife Theresa, he is survived by his children: Kelly Amidon, Turin, Sean Dunn (Holly Kranbuhl) Hawkinsville; grandchildren: Cody Amidon, Devon (Frankie) Blanchard,Jessica (Andrew) Besaw, Sydney Amidon, Jett Ramos, Gage Ramos, Hailey Williamson, Gavin Dunn, Brailyn Dunn, and Kincaid Kranbuhl; great-grandchildren: Cruz, Jack, Julian, Carson, Hayven, Ethan, Ellyssa, Eliana, Elijah, Calvin, and Machenna; his siblings: Nancy (Dennis) Dunn, Barbara (Karl) Kunath, Jon Dunn, and Christine Dunn; his brother and sisters-in-law: Beverly (Dave) Smith, Lynda (Ed) Crofoot, Randy Rimiller, and Diane (Randy) Rudd.
