Patrick C. Jackson, 65, of Burlington, died at 10:29 AM Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born July 8, 1954, in Burlington, he was the son of Wayne Clark and Phyllis Mae Monroe Jackson. On May 16, 1992, he married Frances M. Miles in Burlington.
He was a 1972 graduate of Burlington High School. He then went on to obtain a BA in Political Science and BS in Law Enforcement, a Juris Doctorate of Law, Master Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Education was very important to him.
Pat worked for the Oklahoma City Assistant District Attorney's office and served as an Oklahoma City Police Officer prior to his time at Des Moines County. He later retired from the Des Moines County Attorney's office, where he served as the County Attorney for 26 years.
He was of Catholic faith and was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as, a 4th Degree Knight. Pat was a member and past distinguished president of Optimist club. He was very involved in Boy Scouts, receiving many awards including: District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver Recipient, Distinguished Commissioner Award, Boy Scout Distinguished Citizen Award, and Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. He also served as a Philmont Scout Ranch instructor. Pat enjoyed collecting Burlington railroad memorabilia, train antiques and other items of Burlington history.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Phyllis and brother, Michael.
