She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family and friends on November 13, 2019, due to terminal pancreatic cancer.
Michelle graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 1985, then enlisted in the National Guard later that same year.
Michelle started her military career, of 29 years, as a private in the Military Police field and retiring as a Sargent Major in 2014. In between she worked at DMNA for over a decade.
Michelle then married Michael Sharadin in 1991, having a daughter Shelbie and a son Dakota.
Michelle held an AGR position at the 42nd Rainbow Division in the G1 shop. While in the 42nd Division, Michelle deployed with her unit to Iraq, for a 10-month tour in 2004.
Her most recent employment was with the Division of Navy as a Federal Security Clearance for the Department of Energy for 10 years.
Michelle is survived by her mother Sarah (Sally) Soloski and father Roy Hamilton Sr. (Ginny VanderWood) as well as both her children Shelbie and Dakota, grandchildren Jamison Sharadin-Hollner and Richard Jr. and Madilynn Macdonald, her Nieces Chelsea and Phoenix Hamilton, and a great nephew Conor Hamilton.
She’s predeceased by her stepfather Kurt Soloski, and brother Roy Hamilton Jr., as well as many aunts and uncles.
Following the service, Michelle will be laid to rest at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
