Anna was the daughter of James W. White and Laura Morgan. She married Charles Whitlock Calfee.
MRS. ANNA J. CALFEE. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calfee Memorial Baptist Church for Mrs. Anna James Calfee of Bluefield-Princeton Road who died early Thursday in St. Luke's Hospital. Rev. James Dickerson will officiate, and burial will be in Monte Vista Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be W.O. Bivens, Jr., William D. Calfee, John G. Bailey, Roy Hager, F.D. Williamson, Robert Bailey, Fred Cannon, Bud Gentry, George Parcell and Donald Hypes. Members of the Women's Bible Class and of the Progressive Class of the church will carry flowers.
Mrs. Calfee, the widow of Charles W. Calfee who died 30 years ago, was a daughter of the late James W. and Mrs. Laura Morgan White. she was born Feb. 14, 1885, in Graham [now Bluefield], Va. She was a member of Calfee Memorial Church.
Survivors include two sons, C.W. Calfee, Jr. of Bluefield and Milton D. Calfee of Chicago, Ill; three daughters, Mrs. Maitland B. Bailey of Bluefield, Mrs. Fred Ramsey of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Maurice Morgan of Lakeland, Fla; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Josie Butt of Matoaka and Mrs. Frances Leftridge of Greensboro, N.C.; four half brothers, Morgan Hughes of Beckley, Carlyle Hughes of Tampa, Fla., Charles Hughes in North Carolina and John Hughes in Washington State.
