Edna L. Taylor, 77, of Bedford, Ky., died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice Unit in La Grange, Ky.

She was born May 29, 1930, in Trimble County, Ky., the daughter of Byron and Lizzie Moore Harmon. She worked for 22 years as the Bedford Healthcare Center as head cook. She was a member of Poplar Ridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie Stockdale of Bedford, Ky.; three sons, Terry Taylor of Hanover, Gary Taylor of Bedford, Ky., and Ronnie Taylor of La Grange, Ky.; one brother, Keith Harmon of Bedford, Ky.; one sister, Meredith Woods of Bedford, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Taylor; her parents; one daughter, Diane Woods; and three brothers, Kenneth, Loman and James Harmon.

The funeral was Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Bedford, Ky.

Edna L. Taylor, 77, of Bedford, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice Unit in LaGrange, KY.

She was born May 29, 1930 in Trimble County to Byron and Lizzie (Moore) Harmon.

She was a member of Poplar Ridge Baptist Church. She worked at the Bedford Healthcare Center for 22 years as the head cook. She was called upon on many occasions to give out her recipes for the residents at the healthcare center. She also loved taking care of her family.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by one daughter, Connie Stockdale, and her husband, Dwight, of Bedford; three sons, Terry Taylor and his wife Kathy, of Hanover, Indiana, Gary Taylor and his wife Mary of Bedford, Ronnie Taylor and his wife Elyse of La Grange, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, Jason Stockdale, Tennille Stockdale, Alinza Taylor, Trace Taylor, Adrienne Woods-Pounds, Angela Woods, Brent Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Candace McDole, and Matt McDole; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Stockdale, Alyssa Hano, Brayden Taylor, and Colton Chandler; a brother, Keith Harmon, Bedford; a sister Meredith Woods, Bedford.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, G.W. Taylor, one daughter, Diane Woods, and three brothers, Kenneth, Loman, and James Harmon.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford with Reverend Ed Rollins officiating. Burial will be at the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Friends may call today from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.

The family request memorial contributions be given to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville. Donations may be mailed to 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205-3224.
