At the time of his death, Mr. Denson was sheriff of this county and he was an efficient, capable and courteous officer. He was a brother of our esteemed fellow-townsman, Col. W.H. Denson. Mr. Denson was a devoted husband, a kind and affectionate father, a good neighbor and a true friend. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his irreparable loss. The Times and a host of friends sympathize with the family in their sad bereavement. The funeral service took place Saturday afternoon and a large concourse of sympathizing friends accompanied his remains to their last resting place in Forrest Cemetery."
