Dolly Frances Hostutler, 78, of Richmond, died 25 Jan 2016. She was a resident of Brookdale Imperial Plaza, where she was an active member of the Red Hat Society, as well as several community boards. Although she was diagnosed early in life with M.S., she never let it disable her. She married the love of her life, Carl Hostutler, who predeceased her. She retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of the Visually Impaired. In retirement, Dolly was known for her radiant smile. She enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, all kinds of games and knitting. She was a good pool player, raising her chair to just the right level to get the perfect shot. We are grateful particularly to the staff and all her loyal friends at Imperial Plaza. A family graveside service was scheduled for Saturday, 6 Feb 2016, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Employee Appreciation Fund at Imperial Plaza. [Source: Richmond Times-Dispatch (VA); Tuesday, 2 Feb 2016.]
