Marcia Anne McCoy, our beautiful, creative mother, went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 8, 2019.

She was born in Wichita, KS on October 1, 1936 to Harold and Beth (Sherman) Richey. Most of her adult life was spent in the El Dorado area. Over the years as well as being a homemaker, she worked in various positions such as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone, a secretary in local law offices, in the registrar’s office at Butler County Community College and finally retiring as office manager for Dr. Christopher Siwek in El Dorado, KS. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making Easter outfits, Halloween costumes, cheerleading uniforms, and much more for her kids and grandkids alike. But most of all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother who believed her children were her legacy.

Marcia is survived by her husband of 32 years, David McCoy; children, Karolee (Joe) Weller of Mulvane, Kathie (Alan) Shaw of Nenana, AK, Dawn Haworth of Augusta, Steve Holladay of Wichita, Rick (Julie) Holladay of El Dorado, and John Holladay of El Dorado; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother John (Elke) Richey of Saint Johns, FL; cousins, Sherman (Patti) Barrett, Dick (Jane) Barrett and nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marilyn (Richey) Carmel, and husbands Jackie Kimball and Donald Holladay.

Rosary prayer will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will also be at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
