Born in McDowell County to the late Arthur and Fannie Perkins Hamby.
She was a homemaker and a very loving mother.
Survivors include three daughters, Katie Clough of Nebo, Nancy Huskins and Rachel McPeters both of Woodlawn; seven sons, Kenneth Terry and Gene Terry both of Marion, Elsworth Terry Jr. of Hickory, Vernon Terry, Mack Terry and Willie Terry all of Nebo, and Richard Terry of Glenwood; a sister, Zella Mae Baker of Lenoir; special friends, Sandy & John Harris of Marion; 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elsworth Terry.
The funeral service was held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2000 in Westmoreland Chapel and burial followed in the McDowell Memorial Park.
