J.W. was born December 9, 1956 to the late Jayrodis and Leatrice Salley. He departed this life September 28, 2019 at his residence.

J.W. was a member of the Springtown United Methodist Church from his youth. He attended the public schools of Colleton County and was a graduate of the Ruffin High School Class of 1975.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Marilyn Edwards Salley; one son, Demetrick Salley (Khalilah), one daughter, Takesha Salley; Four granddaughters, Zyaira Fryar, Demetria Salley, Laila Salley, and Raegan Salley; four brothers Fred Salley (Bea), John Salley (Rose), Lewis Salley (Leslie) Gerald Salley; one sister, Charlene Salley; four aunts, Almetta Hodges, Pauline Dubois, Vernetta Beal, and Beverly Edwards; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Edwards Stephens (Nathaniel) and Rosalee Edwards Ford (Robert); two special friends, Keith Salley and Jimmy C. Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. J.W. was loved by his entire community and he will be missed!!!
