Kenneth Edward Hale, age 88, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in a local health care facility.

He was born September 3, 1931 in Chattanooga to the late Arthur & Mildred Hale.

Mr. Hale was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in Strategic Air Command during the Korean Conflict as well as an Instructor. He was the President of the KLH Liar’s Club.

His wife, Julia Mahan Hale; grandson, Stanton E. Grubb; sister, Nancy Hale Hall; and several other siblings preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, Katharine “Kathy” Hale Grubb of Murfreesboro, TN, Patricia “Patti” Hale (David, Jr.) Durgin of GA, David (Jeannie) Hale of Rising Fawn, GA, and Dawn (Butch) Humble of Hixson, TN; Ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 18, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
