CAVERS, Margaret, A.B. – In hospital, on Monday, May 20th, 1974, Margaret Cavers, R.N., of Almonte. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas Cavers and his wife, the late Ann Forgie. In her 99th year. Rested at the Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte, where service was held on Tuesday, May 21st, 1974, at 2 p.m. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery.

Margaret Cavers
Miss Margaret Cavers, a retired registered nurse, passed away at the Almonte Nursing Home, on Monday, May 20th, 1974, following a lengthy illness. She was in her 99th year. Born in Almonte, on September 22, 1875, the late Miss Cavers was a daughter of Thomas Cavers and his wife, Ann Forgie. She received her education in Almonte schools, and took her nurse's training at a Cleveland, Ohio, hospital. She was employed as a special nurse in Cleveland hospitals. In Almonte she was a member of Almonte Presbyterian Church. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church street, on Tuesday afternoon, May 21, with Rev Douglas McQuaig officiating. Burial was at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were elders of the church, Ernie Giles, George Lowry, Roy Van der Meer and Harry Fuller.
