Son of the late Elvira Alexander Perkins and Nathaniel Griffin, Sr. Brother of Gladys Edwards, Annabelle Simmons and the late Berts Perkins, Jr., Joseph Perkins, Sr., Sadie Jones, Rosa Harris, Elizabeth Brown, Eula Mae Davis, Lillian Woods, and Earline Jones, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
