Gwender Ann Duncan Watkins, 57, of Norwood, died Saturday evening, November 15, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 568 Vincent St., Norwood. The Rev. Cecil Raysor and the Rev. Rodney Courtney Jr. will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Watkins was born January 14, 1957, in Panama City, Florida. She was the daughter of Willie Gene Duncan, who survives, and the late Willie Bell Jones Duncan. She was an employee of Michelin in Norwood and was an active member of First Baptist Church where she served as chairperson of the usher board.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Henry Ellis Watkins Jr. of the home; one brother, Connie Tripp of Bonifay, Florida; three sisters, Sylvia Ann Franks and husband Preston of Fort Hood, Texas, Michele Duncan of Albemarle and Melinda Duncan of Norwood.

In addition, she is survived by 28 nephews, nieces and a host of cousins and special friends and her special canine companion, Lil Bit.
