Full of love for family, friends and her church, Donna Jeane Malouf Norris is now in Heaven with her angel wings she earned on Earth. A devoted grandmother, mother, wife, aunt, sister, daughter and friend to all, her beautiful spirit was contagious and transcending for all who knew her.

Donna Jeane Norris, affectionately known by many as DJ, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the age of 71. Donna Jeane was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on May 18, 1948, and was a life long member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She attended Greenwood High School where she excelled in track. From her freshman through her senior year, she won 4 straight state titles in the 50 and 75 yard dash and the long jump. Including relay events, she finished her high school career with 23 gold medals. Upon graduating from Greenwood High School in 1966, she attended Siena College in Memphis, TN and graduated with a Degree in Education. She taught at Pillow Academy for several years. In 1971, she married her soulmate Rodney Allison “Buster” Norris and they celebrated 48 years of marriage. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Allison Norris Kelly (Bradley) and Deenie Louise Norris and four amazing grandchildren, Allie, Norris, Jack and John Carson.

Donna Jeane was a devoted servant to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, putting her heart and soul into all areas of her parish. Serving in almost every capacity, she created a movement through her faith. Her spiritual mission led to the formation the Madonna Circle which became her weekly ministry. Her outreach permeated the entire parish community and beyond.

The celebration of Donna Jeane’s life will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with a funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

Donna Jeane was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Stella Malouf, Sr. and her nephew, Robert Abide Malouf, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Rodney Allison “Buster” Norris, her daughters, Allison Norris Kelly (Bradley) and Deenie Louise Norris, and her grandchildren, Allie, Norris, Jack and John Carson. In addition, her brother, Alex (Pat) Malouf, Jr; sister, Gay (Rick) Tompkins; brother, Bob (Lee) Malouf; brother, Bill (Holli) Malouf; sister-in-law, Nancy (Mike) Piper, and countless nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored.

Memorials may be sent to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.

Throughout Donna Jeane’s life, she continued her joy of doing for others. Her dynamic presence will continue to shine bright to all that know and love her. She represented Christ’s love through her daily acts of kindness. Her mission is complete: “Today you will be with me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43)
