Mrs- Anna E. Beall Ijams was born in Lancaster, Fairfield county, Ohio, July 16,1819, and departed this life June 2,1899, aged 79 years, 10 months and 16 days. She was married November 25,1841, to William H. Ijams. To this union were born eight children, four of whom survive her. She also leaves three brothers. She with her husband moved from Lancaster, Ohio, to Indiana in 1855 and located on the farm just south of Walton. She united with the M. E. church in 1839, having been a member of the church for sixty years. Her home is no more on on earth, but it is with the pure and blessed who have gone to that beautiful clime, where sickness, pain and sorrow are felt and feared no more. Her funeral was held from the M. E. Church in Walton June 4, conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. C. Dunn.
