Kenneth E. Barnhart, 87 a retired professor of sociology at San Diego State University, died Saturday in a hospital.
A resident of the San Diego State area, Mr. Barnhart was on the SDSU faculty for 25 years. He was a member of the American Sociological Association and the American Association of University Professors.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen S.; two sons, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the First Methodist Church of San Diego. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
