CLARKSBURG — Loretta Bernadine Rowe went to her heavenly home on April 28, 2006. She was the last surviving child of the late Walter W. Rowe and Bertha Bowman Rowe, having been born in Monongah, WV.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Wilson Hill and her son-in-law, Dennie L. Hill, of Charleston, WV. Loretta left many other survivors, including a brother-in-law, Bernard Robert Woods, of Stonewood, and sister-in-law, June Rowe, of Craigmoor. She also left several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly, including her closest nieces, Darlene Jenks and Debra Huff.
"Bernie" has been retired for several years from Thorofare Markets. She was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Rose, Virginia Wolfe, Violet Edgell and Dorothy Woods, and by brothers, Woodrow Rowe, George Rowe and Dewey Rowe. "Bernie" enjoyed walking miles for exercise, traveling with her daughter, working in her flowers and especially enjoyed going to the ball games of Alexandra and Mark McAtee and Travis Jenks, and also Jessica Huff's track meetings.
The family was blessed with loving caregivers from both People's Hospice and Interim Health Care, we thank them all.
Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt. 98, Clarksburg, on Monday, May 1, 2006 , from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. O.D. Harmon officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
