Howard Graves, age 92, died Tuesday evening, November 12, 2019 at Life Care Center in La Center, KY. Howard and his brother J.T. Graves founded Graves Brothers Plumbing in the early 50’s. After the business was sold, He established Howard Graves Plumbing, which continued until his retirement. During this time he also worked for the City of La Center. He was the water/sewage maintenance supervisor for over 20 years.
He is survived by one son; Joseph Graves of La Center, two daughters; Lana Chandler (Larry)of La Center and Beverly Eastman(Eric)of Bay Shore, New York. One stepson Jeff Haynes (Wendy)of Barlow, Ky, one stepdaughter; Debbie Von Weiland (John),One brother Dewey Graves of Florida and one sister Shirley Vaughn of Goodlettsville, TN. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife Lexine. Three brothers; Maurice Graves, J.T. Graves and Bennie Graves. One sister Ruby Gains. His parents were Jim and Mina (Thomas) Graves.
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at La Center Cemetery.
