Mr. Wilson was a farmer and lifelong resident of Haywood County, TN. A former stand-out athlete, he was also a long-time sports fan. He bravely battled cancer and was a good friend and inspiration to all that knew him. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and once served as a Commissioner for Haywood County.
He was married to Susan Rice Wilson, Brownsville, TN. He is survived by his children: Rose Lynn Wilson and Taylor Wilson (Beth), David Scott (Michelle), Brownsville, TN., and Tamera Hickox (Robert), Memphis, TN.; and one godchild, Sarah Bright Tipton Faulkner, Memphis, TN. He also leaves his sister Rosanne Ross, Jackson, TN. He has five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Proceeding him in death were his first wife Joyce Taylor Wilson and his sister Barbara Chalk, Anniston, AL.; and his parents Lucille and Lloyd C. Wilson Sr.
His family wishes to thank his caregivers Tommy Tipton, Brownsville, TN., Brandi Long, Whiteville, TN., and all other medical personnel that assisted him during his illness.
