James D. Schaller, 67 years, of Yutan, NE died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at his home. He was born November 25, 1944 at Ainsworth, NE to Cecil & Georgia (King) Schaller.

He grew up at Long Pine, NE and was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. He also lived in the Wausa, Bloomfield, Fontanelle and Arlington, NE areas. He moved to Yutan, NE in 1992. He was employed at Valmont Industries at Valley, NE as security director until retiring in 2011.

He was a member of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department and former city councilman at Yutan. He was an Emergency Medical Technician holding that license the 2nd longest in Nebraska.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammie Harden of Hagerstown, MD; sons & daughters-in-law, Scott Schaller of Fremont, Bucky & wife, Amanda Timm of Arlington, Dusty & Charissa Timm of Des Moines, IA and Corey Timm of Omaha; significant other, Janet Timm of Yutan; brothers, Dean Schaller of Wausa, Bill “Will” & wife, Vel Schaller of Norfolk and Don Schaller of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters, Carol Jones of Ainsworth, NE and Georgia McKibbon of Norfolk; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Vickie Schaller.

Memorial Service will be 3 PM, Saturday, December 10th at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont.

There is no viewing, however, friends may sign the register book on Friday from 3 PM to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends on Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Memorials may be given to the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department or to The United Way.
