He was the son of George and Agnes (Chenier) King.
Jack was united in marriage to Mary Lou Drossart on July 29, 1950, in Flat Rock. Together, they raised their six children.
Jack worked as a sandblaster painter at Harnischfeger where he retired in 1980. He spent some time in the United States Army Infantry.
Jack enjoyed being out in his screenhouse and especially liked decorating for Christmas.
He was survived by: two sons, Larry King, Barry (Carol) King; three daughters, Betty King, Kim King, Mary (Rick) Cayer; one brother, John (Phyllis) King; one sister-in-law, Florence King; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by: parents, wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Linda Lou King; five brothers, Henry (Anna Mae) King, Donald King, Robert King, Francis (Rosalee) King, Richard (Julie) King; three sisters, Rose (Charles) Wheatley, Lorraine (John) Froberg, Dorothy (Pat) LaFave.
Visitation at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Military honors presented by the Gladstone American Legion Post 71. Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Catholic Church. Laid to rest in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
