Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be conducted Thursday November 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Derrill Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Waverly Hall Cemetery.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Carroll was born January 23, 1944 in Troup County to the late Theodore Franklin Mayo and Murl Grimes Mayo. She was a Baptist by faith.
She loved her family, and enjoyed getting together for food and fellowship at family reunions. Among her favorite pastimes was going fishing. She also liked to travel to Georgia’s state parks and go sight-seeing.
A lover of God’s creatures, she was known to take in rescue animals of many types.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kim Baker (Larry) of Franklin; one son, Tim Bishop (Donna) of Douglasville; one sister, Barbara Patterson of Franklin; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Carroll; one sister, Doris Spivey; and two brothers, Wilbur Mayo and Fred Mayo.
