Sue Bobbitt Sumerford Adams, 88, formerly of Seven Lakes, NC passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Carriage House Senior Living Community in Greensboro, N.C.
Mrs. Adams taught school for 30 years in several NC towns. She taught at Aberdeen Middle School form 1973-1990.
A native of Moore County, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Adolphus Bobbitt and Nellie Castevens Bobbitt.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her first husband Howard Sumerford, and second husband Joseph Adams, brothers Walter, David and Talmadge Bobbitt, sister Margaret Tarlton, and step-son Joby Adams.
Surviving are her sons Steve Sumerford of Greensboro, Don Sumerford of High Point, NC, Mark Sumerford and Douglas Sumerford both of Greensboro, NC; daughter Fran Sumerford Harris of Monrovia, MD; step-son Spencer Adams of Seven Lakes; sisters Katherine Collins of Albemarle, NC and Carol Wright of Aberdeen, NC and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
