Charles Craig Barton, 71, of New Cumberland, WV, passed Away Tuesday, November 11, 2019, at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born April 5, 1948, in Weirton, WV, a son of the late Charles L. “Bud” Barton and Katie Ilene (Crago) Barton. He is also preceded in death by his wife Paulette Martha (Weekley) Barton; and his brother Dennis Jay Barton.
He was retired from Weirton Steel Corporation as a Mill Right and was a member of the 25 year. Club. He was also retired from Amsterdam Police Department and Mountaineer Security. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam.
Surviving are his children, Charles Craig Barton, Jr. Of Englewood, OH; Patrick Guy Barton of New Cumberland, WV; Nicole Lee Brinkley of Wellsville, OH; one sister Sophie (Ron) Eastham of New Cumberland, WV; four grandchildren Destiney Freeman, Charlee Barton, Kyle Brinkley and Peyton Barton; one great-grandchild Madelyn Freeman.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home.
Services will be there Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
