Robert (Bob) Lewis Nation, Sr., 92, of Sapulpa stepped into Heaven on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Bob was born on February 10, 1927 in Sapulpa, OK to Andrew and Goldie (Pullem) Nation. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1944. He was employed as a Milkman for Meadowgold for many years later, retired as a Supervisor from Fiesta Pools.
Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Army, serving a tour during the Occupation of Japan in the medic to the hospital.
Bob met and later married the love of his life, Katherine Hubbard. They were married 43 years prior to her passing in 1992.
Bob was involved in his church for many years and taught Bible classes.
Bob enjoyed in his spare time, fishing, holistic medicine and herbs, and eat his daily breakfast with his What-A-Burger friends.
Bob had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand. Bob was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Bob is survived by daughter, Charlotte and husband, Ron Cain of Sand Springs; son, Robert Nation, Jr of Sapulpa; and youngest son, Tom Nation and wife, Lisa of Sand Springs; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine (Hubbard) Nation; daughter, Nancy Nation; parents, Andrew and Goldie Nation; and grandson, Robert Nation III.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Lee and Walnut Church of Christ, 101 S Walnut St, Sapulpa, OK 74066. Officiated by Reverend Jesse Dickerson. Bob will be with his wife and daughter at South Heights Cemetery. Psalm 4:8 "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
