Betty L. (Ebidon) French, 69, of Norway, Mich., passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
She was born September 10, 1950, in Evanston, Illinois, daughter of James Sr. and Mary (Rucinski) Ebidon. Betty grew up in Norway and was a graduate of Norway High School. She married Robert French in 1993 and he preceded her in death in 2005. Betty and Robert resided in Kingsford, Mich. following their marriage. She was an avid church goer and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting, listening to Elvis music, and watching Elvis and western movies.
Betty is survived by her mother, Mary Ann “Mitzi” Ebidon, Niagara, Wis.; two sons, Donald Larson, Homestead, Wis., and Robert (Becky Deneau) Larson, Escanaba, Mich.; three daughters, Hester (John) Cowling, Norway, Mich., Heather Clifford, Iron Mountain, Mich., and Mary Ann Burke, Kingsford, Mich.; one brother, James (Terry) Ebidon Jr.; three sisters, Hester (Paul) Bolek, Bear Lake, Mich., Katrina Schwenn, Marquette, Mich., and Bonnie (Mel) Kauranen, Lanse, Mich.; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, and her husband, Robert, Betty was preceded in death by one infant brother, Robert Andre’ Ebidon.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Pastor Kevin Sullivan will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway, Mich.
