Born Katherine Lorene Hagen on January 25th, 1939, in Adair, Iowa, she was the daughter of LuDell and Bess (Blakely) Hagen. She attended Des Moines Technical High School in Des Moines.
Lorene was a longtime familiar face in working in area restaurants. She also worked at an insurance company. She truly loved life and enjoyed flowers, getting her hair done every Wednesday, going to the pond to feed the ducks, watching airplanes come in and take off, playing games, watching deer at Red Rock, fishing, camping, the Chicago Cubs, going to Dollar General, learning to run the computer, listening to the police scanner, feeding the outside birds, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and playing "match-maker" for her grandchildren right up to her passing. It was a great day when any of the above events could be done with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dwayne Hart, whom she married on March 13th, 1967; two daughters, Lory Dianne Hart (Scott Zern) and Deanna Lynne (Mark) McDonald; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Kimberly) Hagen, Johnny (Sandie) Hagen, Tommy (Wanda) Hagen, Mary Anne Hagen, Suzy (Butch) Woods, and Betty Lou Hagen; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Sally Hagen, Larry Hagen, Nihl "Joe" Hagen, Kenneth Hagen, and Lynn Hagen.
