Patricia "Patty" Hearn Clements passed away on November 5, 2019 at the age of 75. She was the first-born daughter of Staff Sgt. Thomas G. and Bessie M. Hearn in Marlborough, Massachusetts. She earned a degree in nursing in 1964 in Malden, MA. She moved to San Antonio to start her career and met her husband an Army Private stationed at Fort Sam Houston. They were married in 1966 and together they raised two children. While working and raising her family, Patty returned to school to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She practiced nursing at Baptist Memorial Downtown Hospital where she worked in the medical intensive care unit for her entire career.
Patty had many hobbies and interests through the years including camping and music, especially classic country, and 50s music. She played the piano, guitar and accordion, and sang in a band while she was in nursing school.
Later in her life, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and fur babies. She followed Texas Rangers baseball and Spurs basketball, horseracing and ice skating, and loved watching old movies. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family.
