Fred Leigh Clark, 72, of Liverpool entered into rest on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteopathic Hospital. He was the husband of Virginia D. (Jones) Clark. The couple were married for 34 years at the time of his passing.

He was born on April 19, 1947 in Harrisburg the son of the late Robert McVey and Leah (Ensinger) Clark. Fred was a 1965 graduate of John Harris High School and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. He served in the Army National Guard from 1967 to 1973. He was a security guard for Knight Protective Services and worked in Lewistown. Fred also worked at the Polyclinic Hospital.

He was a member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 364, the American Legion Post 1001, Harrisburg, and the Hunters Valley Sportsman Association.

Fred enjoyed hunting and loved to fish.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his three step-daughters: Rachelle (Benjamin) Sotomayor of Martinsburg, WV, Melissa (Jake) Major of Liverpool, and Jolene (Steven) Beard of Lebanon; 6 step-grandsons; Zachary and Alexander Sotomayor, Luke and Elias Major, and Dylan and Austin Beard; a step- great granddaughter, Caleigh Sotomayor and a step-great grandson, Bryce Sotomayor.

Services will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
