Charlotte M. Alexander, a 53 year area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her home in Middletown, NY. She was 88 years of age. The daughter of the late George and Mary DeGroat Morgan, she was born on December 27, 1928 in Hewitt, NJ. Charlotte had been employed as cafeteria manager for the Pakanasink Elementary School in Circleville. She was a member of the Scotchtown Presbyterian Church. Charlotte enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening and doing crafts. She was also an avid NY Yankees fan.
Survivors include her children, Michael W. Alexander and his wife Joanmarie of Middletown and Palm Coast, FL, Karen L. Alexander of Middletown, Barry F. Alexander of Hemet, CA, and Gail A. Alexander of Middletown; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, Melissa and Alleisha; 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Florence Milligan of Wanaque, NJ. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Charles F. Alexander, sons Charles R. Alexander and Richard B. Alexander, and sister, Marion DeFreese.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 2nd at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 3rd at the Scotchtown Presbyterian Church, 367 Blumel Road, Middletown, NY. Reverend Robert Anderle will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot in Airmont Lutheran Cemetery, Suffern, NY.
