Karen Marie Sawyer 52 of Reinbeck formerly of Waterloo died Monday Nov. 19 at Grundy Center Hospital from cancer.

She was born March 16 1955 in Waterloo the daughter of John Allen and Charlotte Brousseau Klein.

She married Tim John Sawyer on Dec. 27 1994 in Grundy Center.

She was a 1973 graduate of Columbus High School and attended Hawkeye Community College.

She was employed as a Materials Specialist with John Deere for 27 years.

Survived by: her husband of Reinbeck. Her mother: Charlotte Klein of Waterloo. Two sons: Caleb (Sarah) Curl of Waterloo and T.J. Sawyer of New Orleans LA. A daughter: Sara (Tony) Schildroth of Reinbeck. Three grandchildren: Abby Schildroth and Micayla and Makenzie Curl. Six sisters: Jo Ellen (Jeff) McClellan of Dallas Center Deanna Santopadre and Jane Klein both of New Orleans LA Nancy Boatright of Fairbault MN Amy (Doug) Wilson of Waterloo Beth Ann (Darryl) Osborn of Plainfield.

Preceded in death by: her father. Maternal Grandmother Marian Brousseau. Paternal Grandparents Frank and Genevieve Klein. A grandson Branden Curl.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Public visitation from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South St. Visitation also one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
