Mr. Larry Matheny, 65, a resident of Troy, died Saturday at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at White-Mahon Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Senn and Bro. Mike Autry officiating. Burial will follow in the Obion Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lanny Stewart, Shane Matheny, Josh Matheny, David Matheny, Chandler Matheny, Garrett Matheny and Bobby Matheny.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Joe Daniel, Jr., Glen Rudd, L.E. Owens, Roy Albright, Bobby Hutchison, Gary Duren, Ronnie Johnson, Mark Watson and Joe Rambo.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 - 8 on Monday evening.
Mr. Matheny was born March 8, 1954 in Union City, son of the late Bill and Hattie (Nix) Matheny. He married Phyllis Evans on May 30, 1980. She survives. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Obion.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Evans) Matheny of Troy; one son, Waylon (Maria) Matheny of Troy; two grandchildren, Landon & Logan Matheny of Troy; two brothers, William Matheny and Pete (Anita) Matheny of Troy; several nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by brother, Paul David Matheny and his sister-in-law, Jennifer Matheny.
