Judie attended Sexton High School and later graduated from Highland Park Public Schools.
She worked for several hospitals in the Detroit, Hamtramck and Lansing areas as a Nurse’s Assistant. After returning to Lansing, she then worked for McLaren Hospital as a Unit Coordinator, where she retired after 23 years. Judie loved her co-workers as well as all the patients.
Judie accepted Christ early at West Lansing Church of God and later became a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the babies. She loved her jewelry and collecting purses, customizing her vehicles, going on vacations and shopping. However, the majority of her time was spent raising her son and doting over her grands, great grands, nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. You could always catch her listening to oldies but goodies and cheering on her favorite school, The University of Michigan.
She leaves to treasure her memory, her mother and best friend; daughter; son; siblings; brother-in-law; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; uncle; close niece and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, including her dearest friend, Deb.
She was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Allie Mae Cooper; siblings, Primrose A. Green, and Steven D. Roper; nephew, Joseph Roper and great niece, Annalyssia Green.
Judith will be dearly missed by all and forever be in our hearts.
