Jewell Estelle Huffman Fox, 87, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness.

A native of Bluff City, she was a daughter of the late Robert Glenn & Leona Jones Huffman. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Fox was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Fred Fox, Jr. who died June 12, 2006, by four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her children: Kathy (Ron) Sutphin, Jonesborough, Debbie (Shannon) Burchett, Elizabethton and Jeff (DeeDee) Fox, Kingsport. Her Grandchildren: Jennifer (Chase) Ensminger, Matt (Morgan) Fox, Jeffrey Fox, Katie (Scott) Odom, Maggie Burchett, Logan Sutphin, Lucas Sutphin. One Great Granddaughter: Madison Faith Fox. Four Sisters: Jane Clark, Maude Boone, Shirley Carr and Polly Leonard, One Brother: Jimmy D. Huffman. Several nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday with Pastor Mark Fowler and Pastor Bobby Stout officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in the Jones Cemetery, Bluff City. Music will be provided by Greg & Tammy Ruston and Tawana Holland. Active Pallbearers will be Matt Fox, Jeffrey Fox, Randy Carr, Matt Carr, Lucas Sutphin, Trig Leonard, Ron Sutphin, Shannon Burchett and Chase Ensminger. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Victor & Judy Deloach and the Staff at Ivy Hall Nursing Home and the Staff of Amedisys Hospice for the excellent care she received during her stay there. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of a daughter & son-in-law: Debbie & Shannon Burchett. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the funeral home.
