Freda E. Brooks, 88, of Old Orchard Drive, Fostoria, died at 5:07 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007, at her home.
She was born April 28, 1919, in Bowling Green, to the late Fred and Edith (Moon) Shuman.
She married Jack Runion, and they divorced. She married Baker Searles, and after his death, she married Bob Brooks who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Larry (Luci) Runion, Brian (Diane) Searles and Jim (Lynn) Searles, all of Fostoria; two sisters, Thelma Stiger of Fostoria and Arlene Cooper of Bascom; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, Jack Runion; two sisters, Rose Alley and Doris Seel; and three brothers, Richard, Fred and Walter Shuman.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. The Rev. Brian Alexander will be officiating, and burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Fostoria Baptist Church or to Fostoria Home Care & Hospice.
