Brian Scott Rogers

CHURCH HILL - Brian Scott Rogers 52, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at his residence.

Brian served his country in the United States Navy. He was working at Eastman Chemical Company at the time of his passing where he had worked for over 28 years. Brian was saved at Victory Apostolic Church in 1994 and had attended Freedom Baptist Church for the past 11 years. Brian received his associate's degree from Northeast State Community College in 1993. He was an avid UT football fan and enjoyed watching games with his family. Brian loved and worked hard without complaint to care for his family even while he was fighting cancer, served the Lord with joy, and was a help to anyone in need.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie Marshall and Hazel Cox Marshall.; paternal grandparents, Henry and Myrtle Steffey Ward and Willard Rogers; father-in-law, Jimmy L. Kilgore.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Sherri K. Rogers; sons, Matthew Rogers and wife Vivian, and Andrew Rogers and wife Sarah; daughter, Sarah Rogers; grandchildren, Levi, Noah, and Anna; parents, Larry and Linda Rogers; brother, Jeff Rogers and wife Sonja; mother-in-law, Brenda Kilgore; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Freedom Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow with Bro. Andy Sensabaugh and Bro. Troy Daly officiating.

A military graveside service will be conducted at 12pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Church Hill Memory Gardens with honors conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. Matthew Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Brandon Kilgore, David Arnold, John Carter, Chris Vicars, Steve Rogers, and Gary Addington will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50am.
