Funeral services for Mr. Nolan Dean Martin, age 85, will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home with interment to follow in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. L.T. Logue will officiate.
Mr. Martin was born October 28, 1934 in Thomaston, Georgia and a lifelong resident of Johnson County. He was the son of the late Woodrow and Annie Mae Martin. He retired from Parker Fish Company with 64 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Trinity Assembly of God. He loved his family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his two brothers Charles Martin and Harold Martin and his granddaughter Nicole Harrell. Mr. Martin passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alma Martin of Wrightsville, son Joey Martin of Wrightsville, daughters Jill (Jamie) Clark of Tennille and Katrina (Tony) Pope of Dexter, sisters Norma Raines McCall of Ashburn, Julia Hall of Augusta and Carolyn Loftin of Wrightsville, grandchildren Tyson Clark, Jacey Clark, Keeli (Greg) Brock, Brent Hickman and Joeli (Luke) Stahley, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friends and neighbors Doug and Shari Tanner.
Family to receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Tanner, Scotty Raines, Jerry Hood, Jamie Clark, Tyson Clark and Dennis Moore.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
