He worked as a Telegraph operator which took him to various places along the Pacific Railroad. He ended up in Logan, NM, where he died.
The Leavenworth Times, 8 Dec 1915 p 5 reports his death, and that he will be moved to Kickapoo for burial in the family plot. The paper later reports the presence of his wife Ella and daughter Bernardine for the funeral and their return to Logan, NM.
There is no grave marker. A marker for 2 of his children was placed much after their respective deaths by family left in the area.
