Mrs. Mary Ann Wilson Crosses the Great Divide

Another of the 1817 pioneers died last week at Glenwood, when Mrs. Mary Ann Wilson was 66 years of age when she died. She came to Utah from Ohio among the first companies with her mother and settled in Salt Lake City. She came with her parents to Glenwood when but two houses stood there and the place was known as Glen Cove. She endured all the trying times of the Indian troubles in this valley, and through al she was a faithful wife and mother, as testified by Messrs. J.H. Payne, S.C. Peterson and Adel Nebeker, the speakers at her funeral held last Wednesday.
She leaves four sons and four daughters, two of the former and three of the latter being married, and two sons and one daughter are single. There were many friends in attendance at the obsequy.
