James “Jimmy” Joseph McEvoy passed away this past Wednesday November 6, 2019. He was 54 years old.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Margaret McEvoy, his older brother John McEvoy, and his son James McEvoy Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 33 years, Barbara. They were married in Brooklyn, New York on January 19, 1996 and shared beautiful memories and lots of laughs together.

He will be lovingly remembered by his youngest daughter Jana, his step-children Indira and Alex, along with his grandchildren Aayva, Jimmy, Zareya, Alex, Michael and Ariya. As well as his beloved blue nose pit bull Spinx.

Jimmy was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York but also spent a great deal of time at one of his happiest places on earth; Smallwood, New York. Ever the hard worker, he would go on to establish ASAP Warehouse Trucking & Distribution with his friend and business partner Alex Vanech.

Jimmy enjoyed a good beer, a good meal and a good project. He loved to “putz” around; whether it be fixing up a new house, trying to get an old motorcycle to run, or fixing cars…

He was a man who loved life to the fullest and always liked to be busy.
