Mrs. Thrall was born Myrtle Crain Feb. 21, 1874, at St. Catherine, Mo., daughter of James and Catherine Crain. At the age of 14 she moved with her family to Morrison and later taught school there and at New Hartford and Grundy Center. She was married to John M. Thrall Oct. 15, 1902 at Goldfield where the home was made until they came to Waterloo in 1928.
Her husband died in 1939. Surviving are two sons, Lewis E. of Mt. Pleasant and Gordon, 127 Church, Norton St. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one brother.
