Ronald Stanley Wilkins, 79, of Hershey, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born in Lewistown on February 2, 1940, he was the son of the late David William and Elsie Niman Wilkins.

Ron retired as a Draftsman for Gannett Fleming, Camp Hill, after more than 40 years.

He proudly served with the U.S. Air Force.

Ron was a gifted oil and acrylic landscape painter. He enjoyed antique cars, but found most pleasure in driving his 1999 Corvette and caring for his home.

Ron is survived by his wife of 38 years, Theresa Lee Franklin Wilkins; two daughters, Kelly Marie Engle wife of Jeff, and Laura Lee Schickel wife of Ryan, both of Manheim; one son, Michael Stephen Wilkins husband of Cela of Hummelstown; nine grandchildren, Ashley Smith wife of Zach, Drew Engle husband of Lauri, Jake Wilkins, Ruby Snyder, Jareth Wilkins, Damion Shearer, Lily Schickel, Cole Schickel and Austin Schickel; one great granddaughter, Myla Smith; his first wife/friend, Darlene Wilkins-Mbugwa of Hummelstown; two sisters, Delores Arnold of McClure, and Joyce Plessinger wife of John of Palmyra; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers, David Wilkins and Raymond Wilkins.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, November 15, 2019, at 11 AM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
