A devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother passed away on Saturday April 6, 2019. She was 83 years old.
Virginia was born on October 26, 1935 in Manila, Philippines to Alfonso Go and Emilia Bayan. She was a freshman in University of Santo Tomas majoring in Music when she met her first and only love, Alberto Casanova. They married on March 9, 1954.
She travelled the world as a result of her husband’s work as a Civil Engineer in Lagos, Nigeria. Virginia particularly enjoyed visiting Rome, Italy especially the Fountain of Trevi. She loved being a homemaker and was an accomplished baker and cook. They moved to the United States of America in 1984. Here she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and when they were grown she also babysat friends’ children too. She enjoyed the company of her friends especially while playing her favorite past time: mah jong.
She is survived by her husband, one son, three daughters, one daughter-in-law, three sons-in-law, ten grandchildren, and soon to be five great grandchildren.
Her laughter will be missed.
